Crane focuses solely its global currency business

On December 10th 2015 Crane announced the separation of its fine paper stationery business from that of its Currency arm.

The separation of the stationery business completes the strategic repositioning of Crane into a company with a singular focus on its rapidly growing global currency business. The transformation has occurred over the past 15 years with major acquisitions to support the currency business and the sale last year of Crane's Technical Materials business. Crane is the fastest growing company in its industry and currently has 55% of its revenue and 40% of its employees outside the United States.

The Company has been a global producer of currency products for more than 200 years and is entrusted by more than 50 central banks to play an integral role in the design and manufacture of their nations' banknotes. Jeremy Plimmer has 35 years of experience in the security related print and packaging industry working originally as sales development director for manufacturers of passports, high security print and labels and more recently as a consultant. He is a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Fellow of the Institute of Minerals, Materials and Mining, chairman of the West Midlands Packaging Society as well as vice chairman of the East Midlands Packaging Society.
